I have always loved makeup and I wear it every single day, so I thought it would be fun to share my daily makeup routine with you! Makeup makes me feel good and put together and it often motivates me to start my day right. I don’t think I need makeup to look a certain way, but I love being creative with makeup and it makes me feel strong and ready to conquer the world!
It is important to note, I am not a makeup professional and everything I know how to do with makeup is self-taught or something I learned on the internet. My favourite beauty blogger is Samantha Ravndahl and I only wish I could be as talented as her when it comes to makeup. My daily makeup routine only takes me 10 minutes and I have a 5-minute version where I use the most basic products.
I always start with my eyes and I tend to use the same four products every time I do my makeup. The Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector goes under the eyes and is a great product for covering dark circles. I will then apply my Tarte Concealer on my lids before adding my shadow. Although the MAC pigment is my go-to because of how easy it is to use, I will occasionally change things up with my Natasha Denona palette.
- Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector
- Tarte Creaseless Concealer – shade light
- MAC Pigment Colour Powder – shade tan (**this is my favourite product and I will absolutely be buying this in more colours ASAP)
- Natasha Denona Biba Palette – my favourite shades in this palette are tusk, freckle, coco, shine, munroe and rayon
Next, I will put on my foundation, bronzer, blush, and/or highlighter. I will often start with my Tarte Concealer to cover up any acne or discoloration of my skin. Most days, I only use foundation, bronzer, and a matte powder over everything. I have a few foundations I like to use, but I always return to my cheap Covergirl Outlast All-Day foundation. This foundation has the best coverage for my skin and I like the feel of it better than more expensive products. I always finish my face with the Stay Matte Powder because I feel like it blends in the other powders and combats my oily skin.
- Covergirl Outlast All-Day Foundation – shade natural/beige
- Two-Faced Natural Face Palette – bronzer shade sunny honey
- Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder – shade creamy neutral
Next comes the brows! Contrary to popular opinion I have always plucked my eyebrows and always will. Once you have the shape of brow you like, it is easy to maintain by plucking. I never liked the idea of paying to get them waxed and didn’t like growing them out each month when I could just maintain them daily.
I just recently started using the Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel and I’m obsessed with this product! First, I will use the tint and then fill in the gaps with the Brow This Way Sculpting Kit. I have found a routine for my brows that I really love and find that the brush from the tint puts the hairs in place and the wax keeps them in place.
Lashes & Lips
I always finish my look with lashes and lips! Liquid liner has been my go-to for years and I will probably never stop using it. I like the look it gives my eyes, but I will sometimes change it up with the spot or tor powder from my Natasha Denona palette. I complete the look with my Better Than Sex Mascara and a Two-Faced plumping lip gloss. This gloss tingles your lips but the feeling doesn’t last long and provides a natural plump and shine!
- Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen
- Two-Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
- Two-Faced Lip Injection Lip Gloss – shades wifey for lifey, soulmate and just friends
I have also shared a video of my daily makeup routine on my Instagram page if you would like to see these products in action and how I apply them. I have tried a lot of products over the years, but these are my favourite products that I use every day! Comment below your favourite products or if you have any similar favourites.
